Peter and Birgitta Curtin ( the Queen of The Burren) are the owners of both the Roadside Tavern and the Burren Smokehouse which are located in Lisdoonvarna Co. Clare. They started The smokehouse in 1989 initially to supply smoked Salmon to the patrons of the Roadside.

Rory Moynihan, the Druid's Chef, brought his celtic kitchen to the recent Groove Festival at Killruddery House and Gardens in Wicklow. He impressed the concert goers with the quality of his menu and unique fare he had on offer.

Bruce Springsteen (The Boss) played two sell out shows at Croke Park in May. With no inhouse catering facilities accessible to patrons who are accommodated on the pitch, temporary facilities must be provided. Aramark, the catering partners at Croke Park engaged CKF hire to provide three high production fast food kitchens to meet this demand.

The annual Galway Races are in full swing at the famous Ballybritt Racetrack. With the upturn in the economy Lydon House, the Racecourse caterers, needed to gear up for a busy week. This called for extra Refrigeration. When a Blast Chiller and Blast Freezer were required Lydons called CKF Hire to provide 10 rack units.
